Google play doesn’t show my game
Hi, I think this is the best place to ask for this question, because you all know about videogames and have experience publishing them, if I’m wrong sorry, I will be very glad to forward this question to the best indicated server.
I recently published a Christmas App to study how much traction an offline event can have over its performance.
After publishing on google play, if I search for the name: “Christmas gift ideas”, it simply doesn’t appear! I know that my app should be ranking veeery veeery low, but google only shows 30 “Christmas gift idea” apps and not more, of those 30, more than a half do no compete with what my app offers, and also Games are included in the results (IMO a little strange if you are searching for Christmas ideas).
After talking to a friend, we suspected that we have to wait some time until google play incorporate the app, but because we were not sure, we added a unique name in front of the app: “gistmas” to check if we can discover the app by this names. And yes we do!
So in this situation I’m a bit lost, and have to much questions about this:
1. Is there a reason why some google play search doesn’t contain all apps that are in Google Play?
2. How can I promote an app if it can’t be discovered, without using my friends nor my family as a guinea pigs , nor using strategies like Black Hats, and not paying for publishers ?I seek for some guidance, Thanks

Hi; don’t know about the christmas gift thing; but know about games and news apps.
Ask rightaway for friends and fools to download and rate your app; it takes a while to be listed on competitive searches it have no downloads or any ratings.
Except that; are you sure you’ve filled the keywords and info ?
