Google Ads Editor : Is the “Make changes in duplicate items” checkbox gone?

Posted by seohelper on December 11, 2020 at 3:35 am

    Hi,

Today I wanted to replace some text in a bunch of keywords (while keeping the original keywords). So I selected them all and clicked the “Replace text” option. When the window popped up, I couldn’t see the “Make changes in duplicate items” checkbox as I used to (see [https://www.dropbox.com/s/kj232d1rche5lrf/2020-12-10_14h28_01.jpg?dl=0](https://www.dropbox.com/s/kj232d1rche5lrf/2020-12-10_14h28_01.jpg?dl=0)). Have they removed it from the latest 1.5.2 version?

So I found a link to an older version (1.3.1) and installed it. To my surprise, that was the same thing : the “make changes in duplicate items” checkbox is gone.

It really pisses me off because I’ve been using Google Ads/AdWords Editor for almost 10 years and I use this feature on a regular basis. I’ve spent like 6 hours today on this issue.

I’ve been scrolling many forums and I’m surprised that nobody else pointed that out. Is it my computer or what?

If you use Google Ads Editor version 1.3.1 or higher, I would really appreciate to see a screenshot if the “make changes in duplicate items” checkbox is there.

    Thank you!

As per your other post, it definitely has not gone.
You don’t look to be using the standard font that Google uses. Are you absolutely sure you don’t have “Use System Font” checked in settings?
