    Google Ad Support is Horrible

Posted by Support_ELF2020 on September 18, 2023 at 3:55 pm

I cannot get any support at all. Chat and phone support does not exist as of 9-18-23. I used to have an account manager (someone assigned to us) to help us with our Google Ads. It has been since May 2023 since we had proper support. Now, no support, nothing. What is going on?

Lots of changes to support in Google Ads recently. I believe they’re also charging for support at specific levels now. I’d imagine a lot more people are going to be relying on forums such as this one for their Google Ads questions moving forward.

I stopped asking for support since early this year. All they want is for you to try to spend more

How much do you spend on ads? You get more care and direct support if you’re spending a few million a year on ads. I forgot the actual number, but it was pretty high (especially for any small business)

All they do is read the same google documentation and help files that you have access to. “Steve Livingston” from Mumbai isn’t likely to help you fix anything or give you any meaningful insights.

Unless you’re actually in a higher tier of account management, support won’t do you much good.

Sadly, I have never met any real expert there. All of the suggestions are the most generic you will ever see. And they have like yearly goals. I feel like years was Pmax, and this one is broad match.
