Going from PMAX to Standard Shopping? Will conversion data transfer over?
Hey there,
I’ve had relative success over the past 6 months with Pmax, but having looked at a report of where it’s placing my ads, I feel as though I’m partially throwing money away so wanted to test Standard Shopping instead.
My main question is – can I start the shopping campaign with TROAS and expect Google to use the conversion data (around 400 conversions) it gathered from Pmax? Or do I have to start from scratch?

Im not entirely sure because Google has never documented transferrable conversion data/learning phase and is mostly a black box. But I will say if you are referring to 400 conversions over the past 6 months, the most that would likely be considered is the last 30 days.
That said, you may want to consider attempting a very low TROAS, until you get more traction and move it to where you want gradually.
If you find anything else surrounding account conversion data learning being used in campaign creation/learning please post it here because it is not easily found. Could be a dead end/irrelevant but look into portfolio bid strategies.
