    From $10k-30k/day adspend to $1000. Any suggestions for what to look into?

    I realize this is a broad question, but for the past several years I had no problem spending money with Google smart shopping campaigns at a relatively low ROAS of 180-190%. Some days up to $30k with no limit in sight except for my ability to fulfill orders.

    After getting too many orders last x-mas, I turned the ads down to a low level for a month and have not been able to get them back up. I can barely spend anything nowadays ($500-1000/day) and at a much worse ROAS… 130-150%.

    I’ve looked into just about everything on what the issues could be…

    * Tried turning off ROAS goal and just wasted money on data that doesn’t seem to help.
    * Sitespeed/lighthouse score is roughly 50/100/100/100… site speed is better than last year.
    * Site tags seemed to all be there and working as usual
    * The only adwords “conversion action” is/was “purchase”.
    * No other google campaigns except VERY small brand campaign.
    * Prices are the same
    * Website layout/info is the same
    * Added new variations of the existing products that customers can purchase that customers seem to like.

    What else should I be looking into?

    It’s a rather broad question especially since I’m not sure what niche you’re in. Is there any seasonality involved? I’m assuming you’re located in the US? Does it have anything to do with consumer behaviors or other situations like lockdowns?

    With that spend level and subsequent drop I’m SHOCKED Google hasn’t had one of their reps on the phone with you 24/7. I know they pay an outside agency to assist high dollar accounts…no clue why they’ve not been all over this.

    Could just be the market changing. Summer is a slower time for sales and ecom in general. People are not stuck at home and forced to buy online. More people are going in-store to shop. There could be more competition in your niche… plus every brand seems to be having a sale. Things have changed a lot in the last 6 months.
