For LLA, do I need to upload emails of customers that purchased or does Facebook already know their emails?

Sorry, first time using FB ads and I am launching tomorrow. I have FB pixel and all my events setup. I know once I get over 100 purchases, I can take their emails out of convertkit or clickfunnels and upload them into Facebook, and this will create me a LLA. But won’t FB already know their emails since I have the pixel installed? And if so, then can I just create a LLA from within FB without uploading the emails?

Sorry if this is a dumb question. Pretty new to all this but I’ve been learning a lot.

    Thanks in advance!

Good question. I’d like to know too. I think that the answer is you need to use the emails BUT you can create a custom audience from the pixel for web site visitors and/or purchasers. Emails are kind an in between group that’s not quite as good as purchasers but have strong interest. I hope that helps.

Yes, you’re talking about a LLA of past purchasers but two different data sources (pixel based versus CRM). You can choose to create a lookalike of all past purchasers using the pixel (you can also make it value based if you’d like) or you can do it off emails.
