For a US company, is SpyFu a serious alternative to SEMrush?
For a medium-sized US company, is SpyFu a tool to consider as an alternative to SEMrush or similar? Or is it only suitable for small businesses? Does anybody have experience with the quality of their data?

SEMrush has way more features and seems more extensive, although I do enjoy the free competitor look up on SpyFu.

I don’t think it’s a tool worth considering compared to Ahrefs or Semrush. Especially for a mid-sized company where 1000 to 1500 a year won’t break the bank

Depends on what you want to use those tools for. Spyfu will be more useful particularly if your primary aim is PPC, as you can track what your competitors consider worth paying for their keyword ads by the duration of their ad campaigns.

SpyFu isn’t as good. It had a lot of potential when it launched but has not been able to keep up with SEMrush or AHREFs.
If you want to spy on your competitor’s ads, you can easily do that straight from the SERPs for free.
Do a search, when you see an ad from your competition click on the three vertical dots next to the display URL. In that popup, there is a link that says “See more ads” this advertiser has shown on Google. That will open a new tab with every single ad that they have shown. In theory, it would go back as long as they have been doing it.

Why would you use SPyFu when you can get SEMRush Guru for like $30/month

For competitor data ? I can get you access to a better system for optimizing Google ads etc it’s more complete than semeush and spyfu
