I’ve been a social media specialist for a local personal injury law firm for almost two years now. This is the only “social media” focused position I’ve had so far. I’ve worked in general marketing positions in the past. But I knew I wanted to focus on social media & this is the job I got.

I fully manage the law firm’s two Instagram accounts, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, & TikTok. Testing strategies always.

Anyways- I report my analytics with notes & such to my boss every month. I’ve noticed a nice increase on some platforms. But lots of fluctuating with the numbers for the most part.

Also some of my analytics look skewed. For example, my first couple months here, they used a third party company to do their Facebook Ads, but then I started doing them on my own with a much much smaller budget given to me. So, my Facebook numbers look WORSE than when I started.

My boss’ response to my analytics report each month is usually the same “Thanks! Numbers are too flat/steady/not increasing enough. Let’s work on that!” When I feel like I’m doing well, doing my best keeping up with the different platform’s strategies & working really hard.

I don’t know what to do anymore. Maybe I’m not good at this, maybe it’s just so tough doing social media for law firms, maybe a lot is expected out of me… Any tips or advice?

    Thanks!
