FB Ads – Amount spent/ Ads

Posted by seohelper on July 4, 2021 at 8:02 am

Hi all, noob question here 🙂

I’ve been doing some FB Ads the past 2 months and I’ve always created 3 Creatives per Ad set to see which one performs best. And it always ends up with 1 creative outperforming the other 2 by far. But when I’m looking at the Amount spent/ Ad Creative almost 99% of the budget is spent on that one well-performing creative.

    Why is this?

Because from what I’ve seen the other creatives that actually do get some conversions have really low CPR and high ROAS.

    Many thanks,

Answering a question with a question:

Is the algorithm designed to make you money or make its masters money?

The reason is that FB ads’s algorithms often favor 1 ad over others, if it thinks this is what the people would be most interested in. One way would be to suspend it and test in a separate ad set if you have budget. It will likely to continue like that in your case if you leave it as is

I have a similar problem on a campaign level. CBO goes 80% on one ad set, I consider moving some ad sets to a separate campaign as they contain different products
