My business has 2 Google listings, one for the business, and one for one of our providers who is a specialist. The listing for the specialist received a fake negative review that we have not been able to remove. I understand Google’s review policy and do not expect them to remove reviews unless they are obviously irrelevant, spam, use profanity, etc. I have no way of proving this review is spam but it is affecting the business. Here’s the catch. The listing for the specialist has almost no visibility unless you search for the name of the specialist. The listing only has 1 bad review, is barely optimized, and is not providing any value. My idea was to try and update the address to move the listing away from the business (I am aware we would need to re-verify). Once the address change has been accepted, I could then remove anything that associates the listing with the business and mark as closed. Surely it would be almost impossible to find, assuming we moved the listing far away enough from the practice, right? Are there any risks with this approach? My only concern is that Google might catch on to what we are trying to do and flag my account. Thoughts?

You’re way over thinking this. Reply to the review in a professional manner. Get some positive reviews. Forget about the fake review.

I got 2 negative reviews in 1 day. Same family. I reported one right away and they deleted it.

Replied in a very professional manner. And all my new clients and current clients saw right through the review.
