  • Fair price for backlinks?

This is really just a noob question so sorry if it’s obvious.

The comments under a post below said that $700 for 150 backlinks is too low, and the backlinks are going to be crappy, sea-trench quality, which obviously makes sense.

But then I’m wondering, what is a good, optimal price for a single, high quality backlink from a good website.

Comments under that post said $250 at least, but is there a certain price range to look for or something like that?

Honestly, it’ll vary. I’ve been test buying links from authority builders, they have an ABC+ package which is $500 a month and you get a few links usually in the DR20 range + reach out to someone.

But generally speaking, I expect to pay $250 at LEAST for most links and I don’t bother going for anything under DR20. If I’m aiming for DR20 I usually do organic outreach

Have you addressed your CRO, onpage, internal links first. Don’t buy links just to buy links.

Depends where you’re getting it from.

If you’re doing outreach yourself, you can net links from 50 to 200 USD, depending on the quality. You will, however, end up spending a ton of time learning how to do this right.

If you’re buying from link vendors that deliver real backlinks, you’ll pay 250-1,000 USD a pop depending on the quality. Ballpark same price range for an outreach agency, depending on the agency you’re using. (For more niches, w most agencies, it’s 250-300 USD per link, just to note).

If you work with crap link vendors, you’ll pay 50-150 USD for link farm backlinks that’ll deliver mediocre juice. Same goes with the spammers DMing you on LinkedIn with excel sheets full of “reputable high DA websites”. Those cost <100 USD but they’re all crap.

Maybe another way to look at it, how much for an epic piece of content for your own website that other publishers would want to link to?

Wholesale rate, approx $250, retail $1500.

Identifying potential link sites. 1-4 hours
    Sending tailored email 1-2 hours
Review responses, potentially pay bribes maybe a few hundred $$$.

The benefit here is that you’ve built a decent asset and because you’re doing the link building yourself you’ve likely found a decent website.

Don’t forget link sellers are happy to sell links to your competitors as has happened to a site of mine recently. Seriously on that note, fuck Authority Builders and avoid them like the plague
