Facebook Ads to Market Insurance in a new province – advice?

Posted by seohelper on September 11, 2020 at 3:24 pm

Hi everyone, we currently market insurance in 3 provinces in Canada and are doing well but would like to know how we could do Facebook Ads in a new province and successfully do well doing it.

Anyone have any pointers/tips as to how we can do well?

I have a couple of questions:
    – For testing, should we do a “lookalike audience” or just target it to everyone?
    – Should we stick to segmenting our campaigns to different cities to see how our performance is? Each city is quite small.
    – Also, what would be the preferred marketing campaign?

This is all new to me, so please bare with me.

    Thanks all!

Depending on the budget, I’d always test a few audiences in your campaign (LALs, Interests) splitting by prospecting/remarketing & excluding to minimise overlap. Turning on CBO will let FB determine as set level budget and help you understand how the audiences perform comparably.

I wouldn’t segment by city unless there’s any real business need. Broader audiences are generally better.

Do you mean objective? This would depend on what your primary KPI is and the tracking capabilities you have.
