Facebook ads : no spotify conversion and very cheap cost per result

Posted by seohelper on May 6, 2021 at 12:51 pm

    Dear all,

Thank you for reading me. I have launched my very first facebook ads campaign a few hours ago and I noticed that people were going to my landing page (generated with tonedem) but none of them are clicking on the link to listen to my song. I saw the major part of the traffic was coming from Algeria, Senegal, Phillipines, Tunisia with an average cost per result of 0.03$. I decided to stop advertising in these countries but now the same thing is happening with Tunisia.

How can I get out of this situation ?

Thanks a lot for your help 🙂

This is a bit flippant, but I am advising you with the best of intentions: First, your visitors are people. Maybe they just don’t like what they see? You have to remember the person viewing the ad. They don’t care that you’ve spent money to bring them there, they’re browsing social media. They want entertainment or value out of their time and effort. Second, you’ve run your first ad for a few hours – that’s not enough time to make judgements, really!

Third, you’re paying $0.03/click to target people in Africa and the South Pacific. Is this a good investment of your money? Will these people be likely to want to hear your music? If so, continue. If not, again remember the person. I listen to some ‘world’ music, but I’m English and I mostly listen to English music. It may be worth paying more to reach the right audience rather than the cheap audience.

Finally, expect to pay some cash for results! There is a cost to advertising. We should not expect to get important results for $0.03 each, or even for $0.30 or $3, depending on the conversion. I have accounts whose conversions cost hundreds of dollars because they are worth tens of thousands of dollars.

These countries generally have higher amounts of bots which lead to terrible conversion per click rates. Like you did with the others, monitor which perform poorly in this respect and maybe stop advertising there for this campaign
