If you were to run ads selling a loyalty membership that offers discounts and free vouchers at hotels and restaurants in a specific country, how would you go about choosing interests for running ads?

I tested targeting people who are interested in the hotels that are part of the membership but no actual good result has happened

People interested in travel and liesure, and also, business people. Maybe sports fans? Newlyweds? I’m just throwing out ideas here…?‍♀️

Are you getting sales from other sources – are you sure it’s not the landing page / offer? I’d imagine there’d be little demand for hotels at the moment (and therefore little demand for this membership) since the majority of people are not travelling owing to the current global pandemic

I wouldn’t use interest targeting. I would create either lookalike audiences based off of those who have already signed up for a membership OR do broad age/demo targeting and allow Facebooks algorithm to target those most likely to convert.

There are some great 3rd party data segments available that can supplement what’s already available within Facebook
