I’m looking for help on a very specific issue I’ve been running into the past few weeks. I am the marketing manager for a few bars, and just like everyone else across the country, we’ve got a staffing shortage, so I put out some hiring ads and boosted some “We’re hiring!” posts using the employment special ad category. All was well.

Well, ever since running those ads (which I’ve also ran over the years and never fell into this issue until now) one of the bar accounts seems to be stuck on thinking all my ads and boosted posts are about employment. My ads will automatically get rejected because it thinks I’m discriminating on the basis of age, location, and interests for employment, but when I go into the ad that’s just about, say, our weekend deals, the special ad category isn’t turned on so there’s no reason they should be getting rejected for this reason. And I make sure to set my ages to 21+ since we’re promoting alcohol and I know that’s another reason they can get rejected. Again, it all boils down to the Facebook ad manager thinking I’m running a hiring ad when that’s just not the case.

It’s not doing this on any other bar account I run, which is just a chain that I manage the different locations for; it’s only doing this for one of the locations and I haven’t done anything differently between them to cause it. Any help to get this fixed and back to normal would be much appreciated!
