Error message when joining TikTok Creator Fund
Hi everyone,
So I’ve encountered a problem when I go to sign up for the TikTok Creator Fund. Whenever I go to submit the application, I receive an error message stating “Thanks for applying. Your application could not be reviewed due to a technical error. Please feel free to apply again after 24 hours.”
I was super excited about hitting 10k yesterday so this was extremely frustrating and disappointing. But I have a theory.
It states before you submit your application that you need to have a valid payment method linked, which I did not. But here’s the two catches. First, the only way to link a payment method is by going to withdraw coins you received from livestreams. The bigger catch? You can only withdraw coins (and thus link a payment method) once you’ve received $100 worth of coins from livestreams.
They’ve basically made it so you need to have earned $100 off of livestreams in order to link a payment method and thus to apply. Just wish they made that more clear. I’ve never gone live before.
What’s everyone’s thoughts on this? Is this correct? I wanted to start a thread here because I know there’s a lot of other people struggling with this, but there’s precious little in the way of solutions.

Probs just a bug. I’m in the creator fund and barely ever live-streamed haha. if it makes you feel better you aren’t missing out much by not being in the creator fund especially if you rake in less than 10 mil views a month. They will literally pay you pennies if you don’t get an absurd amount of views.
