Does it make sense to schedule FB ads on certain times of the day?

Posted by seohelper on August 10, 2020 at 11:32 am

    Hello,

I’ve notice that most of my sales happen in specific periods of the day, while most of the budget is distributed evenly. Is there any way to only run ads during those times and does it make sense?

    a) Yes, it is possible to schedule ads only on certain hours

    b) Depends.

longer b) I would say go for it and test it out. See what happens. I do a similar thing for my real estate client.

Only if you have a very specific reason for doing so (i.e. the sales department can only answer calls from 9-5, etc.)

Doesn’t make sense. Even though you might not get sales at certain times of day the people that the ads hit in the morning is probably the ones that buy later on the day.

Facebook knows the best times to hit people with the ads so it’s best not to limit it.

Yes but probably not in your case. This is called dayparting. I daypart for my main client because our call center has hours of operation and no reason for me to buy leads when they can’t be dialed.

Unfortunately, day-parting or scheduling ads for certain times (hours) in a day is only possible if your budget is set to “Lifetime Budget”. This does is not helpful to those who want to use a daily budget.
