Do you have any idea what is the reason for the Google penalty?
I have a niche website in which I talk about yoyos, something pretty restrained but it worked reasonably well, had 3-4 k visitors a month ( it is tiny, but for me, it was something for a small amazon affiliated site ).

At some time however in March last year, some google update made a dramatic change in my traffic- it dropped 70-80 %, and don’t know the reason. I checked the Google Search Console and I didn’t have any manual action, which means that most probably I received an algorithmic [penalty.](https://penalty.Do)

[ ](https://penalty.Do)Do you know any reason for such a thing? I suspect it to be something to be related to content.I hope it is not too late, as this happened in March 2020, I don’t know why I postponed so much, that only a Focusmate session made me revise the condition of the site.

Please check your website backlinks and do depth analysis of your backlinks. Sometimes any competitor make backlinks of your website on spamming sites or may you purchase backlinks from any buyer in past which now cause of penalty. If found bad backlinks then remove manually. Two time i have face same problem but after instant analysis i recovered my site…And now my website goes perfect.

Google probably found that your websites content wasn’t as valuable as your competitions. Your backlink profile may also be weak. You may have links but they may not be relevant, where as your competitions might be.

It looks like your website is hacked. Your homepage redirects to another domain which is a spam domain.
