    Delay in conversion? Google analytics

Posted by seohelper on August 10, 2021 at 4:29 am

Since yesterday, it’s taken up to 24 hours for conversions to hit google analytics and google ads. Prior to this, it’s always less than 3 hours. Anyone else had this issue? Is there a solution to this? We haven’t made any changes to google tag manager or anything. Is there anything that’s available for instant update etc?

    Thanks

Google Analytics should record conversions in real-time. Google Ads can take up to 24-hours to sync conversions it imports from Google Analytics. It’s usually somewhat less but 3-hours is very optimistic.

Note, also, that attribution settings other than last-click can mean that when conversions populate they appear from clicks that happened long ago. For example, a conversion that happened yesterday might be attributed to a click (in Google Ads) from 2-weeks ago. So while you think your conversion isn’t synced it really is.

Google’s only doc says it can take 24 – 48 hours for data to appear in Google Analytics. It’s not real time at all. Then it needs time to go into Google ads.
