Decreasing tROAS on pmax shopping: how much at a time?
Situation: pmax shopping campaign in a specific country (full pmax, not feed only + no other shopping campaign next to it). Online store with 10.000+ items.
tROAS setting 13,3. Results last 2 months: ROAS 12
Budget setting 20€/day: only ha being spent
\–> I believe the setting is too high, making Google focus only on conversions that will reach that target, and because of that not spending all of the budget. 20€ spend at even 8 ROAS would bring in more than 10€ spend at 12 ROAS. So I want to decrease this.
Was thinking of going > 11 now > 9 after two weeks
Last 4 weeks: 12 conversions, so in two weeks time might not have enough data to adjust, while I’ll be unsettling it again.
Should I go:
* full send: immediately to 9 since low number of conversion
* go in steps (how long would you advise to wait in between?) -

You are dealing with a very small budget, which makes getting enough data for PMax a challenge. You might be honestly better off using standard shopping. Otherwise, to decrease the tROAS, decrease by 20% and see how that nets. I would not drop it all at once.

Yeah go for Standard Shopping. Way better with this small amount of conversions.

I usually do 15% but rule of thumb is no more than 20% between average days to convert.

20% once a week max.
