Conversion rate and cost high on mobile. Should I turn off for mobile? (Real estate)

Posted by CokeZero666 on May 18, 2023 at 6:46 am

    Hi all.

Going through google ads. I see how conversion are super low for mobile phones. And also cost per lead is higher.

Since mobile conversions are less than 2%. A conversion is when someone contacts us.

Should I consider stopping ads for mobile?

What about the volumes of computer vs mobile?

If the no. of conversions on mobile is higher then I’d try applying negative bid adjustments to it before removing it completely.

    Are you using smart bidding?
Is your total conversion volume high enough?
    Are the leads still profitable?
Is the landing page responsive and easy to use on mobile?

There’s much more to the equation than just conversion rate.

Do the leads that come through mobile tend to be more qualified than those that come through desktop? If yes, it would make sense that they are more expensive.

This has also already been said but I would highly recommend ensuring your mobile site is fast and easy to use.

Check the volume loss by excluding mobile device, if it contributes over 30% I would not switch off instead set negative bid adjustments and look for other ways to optimize.

Also check the page interactions from mobile device if you can setup a separate landing page for mobile that can improve conversions
