Comparing Attribution Window Settings on Facebook – Option Gone?

Posted by seohelper on May 6, 2021 at 3:49 pm

Previously it was possible to compare how different results would be in Facebook Ads Manager if you used different attribution window settings. This was done by going to “customize columns” and then it was an option at the bottom right, below the list of metrics. Now I can’t seem to find this. Does anyone else have this issue? Is it gone completely, or moved somewhere else?

Facebook made a lot of changes prior to the Apple iOS update involving attribution windows, specifically eliminating some of the longer windows.

It may very well have gone away.

Then again, Facebook also likes to hide tools behind various layers of UI.

I looked and didn’t see it yesterday. Maybe I missed but possible you can’t set the attribution windows anymore?

Removed because of the iOs changes. You can only do 7 & 1 now.

They removed the options from the columns dropdown and the “customize columns” window sometime over the past few days. I had a couple of reports that broke out conversions by view and click and those columns have been completely removed from my reports as well.

As far as I can tell there’s no way to segment the data now. It’s just one view which is a combination of 7 day click and 1 day view.

Also noticed this today, which I think is new:

“We initially defaulted to a **7-day click and 1-day view** attribution setting ahead of Apple’s enforcement of the AppTrackingTransparency (ATT) prompt. Apple has started to enforce new requirements, including limitations around view-through attribution. As a result, the default attribution setting has changed to **7-day click** only.
