Company asking me to breakdown my hours, how much time would this take you?
I have been working with a company as a social media manager/content creator for six months, we’ve done a review of socials, and I have updated the strategy with this update, I have said that I would need to invoice with more hours as this will take me longer. They’ve asked me to break down how long I spend on all of my tasks (I think because they don’t want to give me more hours).
Currently, my duties are:
\- Creating and posting (with captions etc..) 5-6 posts per week on Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram (Images are often the same/altered slightly with different captions per platform.)
\- Running, hosting and recording a monthly podcast
\- Community management: responding to comments, engaging with potential clients etc..
\- TikTok videos (recording, editing, posting). This is currently the last thing on my list and does get neglected at my current time. They goal would be to post 30 per month.
\- Idea generation and planning for the month ahead.
\- Additional duties, of uploading blogs to website on average once per week. And as and when they might send me one off pieces of content to make. Such as a banner or something.
\- Also I’m probably forgetting additional things I do without thinking such as responding to emails, meetings, social media Strat.
Additional point: most copy for the post images is taken from the website, however, for 2 posts per week I have to do research and write the info myself.
How long do you think this would take you, currently I am allowed to invoice up to 24 hours pw. and if you have the time how long would each task take you?

As a freelancer? Maybe I am missing something, but in my country this sounds like a full time job (40 hrs). And you bill them only 24 hours per week? I am curious to what others respond.

I’d bill at least 40…

Why not use a tool like Toggl and track your time and how long it takes you?
Also, stop billing by the hour.

Info: how do you create the posts for FB, IG and Li? Is it just images?
Also what about monthly reportings?
When it comes to TikTok do you film, VO, write captions and post as well?
