Checking who has unfollowed (Instagram)
Hi redditors! I am curious. Has anyone here checked who has unfollowed them on social media before? The thought came to me when a friend of mine messaged a woman he liked but got left on seen. He quickly discovered she unfollowed him after so obviously he was anxious and checked if she did. How common is this for users to do? Have you found yourself doing this before?
I know that increased social media usage leads to heightened levels of anxiety so checking who has unfollowed is an interesting behavioural activity to me. There isn’t much (or any) discussions on this topic that I have been able to find.

You need to be very careful not to take any actions through certain apps because you may get banned BUT if you are careful there’s an app on the Google play store called “followers and unfollowers” and it will tell you who doesn’t follow you back as well as who has unfollowed you (obviously it won’t do historical unfollows so you’d need to sync it up in order to check next time your follower count goes down)
I must reiterate though – don’t take an actions through apps like this because instagram might ban you but I find them really useful to quickly see who has unfollowed me

Years ago I used to use the app Followers+ to see who unfollowed me, THAT was definitely a form of self sabotage, dont reccomend starting that habit ?

Now you literally have to manually do it. I sort by most recent followers, check their followers, and if they aren’t following me anymore, I know that they unfollowed me, so I unfollow them. I hate that bullshit game some users play; it’s so fucking lame.
