  • Cheap Fiverr backlinks destroyed my google ranking

Posted by seohelper on March 2, 2019 at 4:10 pm

In the last Quarter of 2018 I have tried to optimize my online Shop with the Services of Fiverr. Everything went well in the beginning and my revenue in January even went up. Im Februar my revenue and also my Google Ranking for a specific keyword dropped and I am not sure how to proceed. I thought about buying high Quality backlinks beside doing some ppc. Any recommendations from your side?
    Thanks in advance!

At first you have to mark bad backlinks for Google: [https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/2648487?hl=en](https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/2648487?hl=en)

Find harmful backlinks with SEMrush, and disavow them via google search console.

This is the big problem with blackhat SEO these days, Google and all the big SE’s have made backlinks barely worth it at best, and if they aren’t good they will absolutely hurt you. Black hat ways of the early 2000’s like this have largely become obsolete, but it doesn’t mean blackhatting is dead overall, imho it’s just more slated to social engineering instead of ‘digital engineering’.
