Can’t figure out this search console error
There are thousands of pages in Search Console with the error “Alternate page with proper canonical tag.” They are largely AMP pages and when I inspect them I can see that the canonical page is a non-AMP URL.
I am not sure what’s going on and how to fix this.
P.S: I switched from “AMP for WP” to “AMP” plugin a while back. Could that be the problem?

If you want the non-AMP sites to appear in the Index, you don’t have to do anything. As the message says, the canonical tag is proper.
