Can’t connect facebook page to Meta Business Manager
So I’m trying to run my first ad for Instagram and have been advised to use Ad Manager for a more targeted campaign, as opposed to boosting a pre-existing Instagram post.
I converted my Facebook account into a business account, linked it to my Instagram handle and signed up to Meta Ad Manager. When I attempt to create a campaign, it says that I need to link a page before I can continue – this led me Meta Business Manager.
From Business Manager, I eventually managed to link my Instagram account and, as far as I can tell, all I have to do now is link a Facebook page before I can continue to create an ad campaign.
I’ve spent so long trying to link a Facebook page today and I still can’t get it to work. When I try to link the page I have, it either denies that I have one and says I need to create one or says ‘An unexpected error has occurred. Please retry your request later.’ – when I try to create one through the button shown, it says I already own a page in that name. I’m not sure where I’m going wrong here.
Can somebody help me with this please? I’m beginning to get confused about Ad accounts, Business accounts, Facebook pages and if I’m even working in the right place for what I’m trying to achieve. The whole process seems unnecessarily difficult and complicated to me.
