Can I just seo-optimize the landing page i want to rank high in Google, or do I need to mess with my whole website?
Hey.
I run creative studio that’s rather minimalistic in the language used and I’m not particularly drawn to changing that.
However, i want to create service-specific landing pages and would like to seo-optimize those.
The question is – does my whole website ranking impacts the ranking of a single page (that is a landing page)?
Can I just optimize the certain landing page and don’t care about the rest, or would I need to mess with my whole website?

It all kind of works together as one. Search engines need to be able to tell what the site as a whole is about. Minimal or thin content leaves interpretation of the site up to search engines. Writing content is a way to tell or heavily hint at what the site is about.
There’s a chance your landing pages could organically rank highly, but creative services is a competitive industry. You may want to consider other ways of driving traffic to those pages besides SEO. If these are landing pages that will be for lead generation, I wouldn’t rely on SEO alone to generate leads.
