  • Building a website for a brand with 250 google reviews

There’s this small restaurant in my area that has about 250 google reviews (mostly positive) but no website. They do their own promotions via social media (fb, instagram).

Suppose I offer my services and build them a website + hosting for free, and the website gets enough traffic, is there any way I could sponge up some of that link juice to my own website?

Ew, what. You shouldn’t be in the business of SEO if you’re just trying to exploit your clients’ websites. I hope they are smart and reject you.

The fact that you are creating it for free doesn’t give yiu the right to use them as backlink unless you all agree to this.
Otherwise don’t. I have seen shitty developers to this but it doesn’t end well.

    Yeah of course you can.

You can even talk to your clients about it and they wouldn’t care most likely.

Just build a separate page that somewhat related to whatever you want the link juice on so if they’re a restaurant and you’re trying to rank a painting company just create a page for what you are ranking and drop the link there.

You could even make it where there’s no link from the homepage to this page you created if the client is worried about it…..

If you still include it in your robot.text file Google will still index the page and you’ll still get relevant link juice from it.

If you pick a URL that is a little bit generic you could just use it as a personal project or find another buyer if the restaurant is not interested.

    Goodluck!
