Budget for Roofing Company
I’ll be taking on a roofing client soon. What is a good number to recommend for their monthly budget? I know it’s a competive market. $1000/month? $4000/month?

If you’re taking on a client, please ensure you recommend budget or anything for that matter based on data and not assumptions.
Typically a company would tell you this is how much they’re willing to spend but if they’re asking for a budget from you, the least expectation would be to use keyword planner to understand the overall opportunity and how much realistically they can capture. Then go from there.

I think using keyword planner to budget is presumptuous too. If you had to have a number and coming in blind sure; but discovery is sooooooo important.
Ask them important questions about what this will do to their business. Find out what their revenues are (directly or indirectly) and ask them if they want to drive topline rev and grow. Do they want to make sure margins hit their P n L?
I think this does two things. Demonstrates interest and maybe some knowledge of their business. Separates you from other PPC houses that leverage common approaches. Maybe you stand out on that alone.
Come with a POV sure; come curious you’ll have a leg up.

Easily $4K a month (including GLS).

I have some experience in the niche, 4k to 6k/month is reasonable.
