  • brokenlink fix for 200$

I found a broken link on a website for content that is similar on my site. I pointed it out and they said their price to add my site is 200$. Is such a high price fair regardless of how popular the domain is?

edit: I negotiated to 90$ for a 41k traffic site that isn’t really in my niche, but doesn’t post about everything.

No, not regardless. If you think the site is worth it, negotiate

    1. not so high, but it depends on website metrics a lot. may be a total trash, may be worth it
    2. always negotiate on this, many webmasters just offer the highest number to understand if your familiar with market and prices

So wait, they have a broken link on their site and want you to pay $200 to fix it? I’d tell him to F off, it’s his site that has the poor UX, not yours. Either that or create the page on your site and it won’t be broken anymore and you don’t have to pay.

Link insertion prices are pretty high. If you think the domain has decent metrics, and more importantly, decent traffic that ranks well in a specific niche similar to yours, I think it might be worth it.

Depends of a lot of factors though. I would still negotiate though. Chances that they decrease their prices to 100-150$ is very realistic.
