Branded traffic dropoff, new core rollout to blame or something else?
So starting right around the beginning of the month impressions for my branded search campaign completely fell off the map. We went from average 200 impressions a week down to 5 impressions this week.
Auction insights seem broken for this period. Search impressions share starts jackknifing around Aug 30, going from normal 90-95% to either 100% or 0.
I haven’t changed anything in this campaign except i dropped target ROAS from 1200 to 800 (actual ROAS last 30 is over 4000% but I’m just hoping to kickstart the campaign by freeing up bid $).
Any suggestions?
My best guesses rn are cannibalization by PMax (running no assets, shopping only so shouldn’t impact search), core update increasing organic vis over paid, or the new brand list option somehow fucking me over.
