Boosting a Giveaway Post on Instagram: A Strategic Move or a Misstep?
I run a UK-based food blog that’s relatively new, with around 485 followers. We recently partnered with a local restaurant for a giveaway that’s been live for three days and will continue for five more. The initial response was heartening, but it fell flat quite quickly. We’ve read that boosting could potentially harm future organic reach, but we were counting on this event to help us extend our reach. So far, we’ve only gained approximately 20 followers from it. Is it worth it to boost this post with a focus on our local audience? Or do you have other ideas on how to promote this giveaway?
