  • Blog Traffic dropped 99% after the Google 2024 March update

Posted by Mouditroubles on April 25, 2024 at 8:54 pm

The traffic my blog was getting from Google search engine dropped by 99% since March and didn't recover, but Hahaha Fck You Google, 90% of my traffic is coming from my big social media pages anyway. I also left the shtty Google adsense and found better advertisers for my blog. Google hates small publishers, it's a fact.

I'm going to get down voted but I Just wanted to give an advice to websites end blog owners. Invest in your social media presence and a build communities there, never leave the faith of your websites in the hands of Google where they destroy you with one single update, peace out!

My earnings from Adsense also reduced significantly and that’s why I’m now monetizing via Hydro Online for more revenue

Anything based on informational content is finished. Why would someone visit your blog to learn X when I could use AI to spoon feed it to me in a digestible format.

You were smart to build off social media. That will keep you strong.

Google only ranks big media nowadays, everyone else get’s f***ed cause it’s too hard for them to decide what’s “helpful” or not, so they take the easy route and only rank big-named sites.

It’s happening now a days. Google is favouring big brands and media sites these days for most queries. It’s become difficult for small publishers to survive.

I’m also looking for Google search alternatives and spending some of my efforts on social media sites to have some presence there.

Please do share the social media channels that are doing well for you.

I also experience decline in traffic in the last month, although not so drastic as yours. At the same time, Reddit and Quora have trippled in visits for the last 6 months.

Your wrote spammy content, made for SEO only articles – that type of page is dead going forward for 99% of website owners. There’s 1 tool that actually gets it right, that I’ve been using. Focus on bottom of the funnel queries and build pages that serve the query intent 100%, and if that means the user buying something, b/c the top pages are transactional, you will have to match that. Don’t put up a blog post when the SERP is calling for an ecom page.

The game is brand search/direct search. Let’s assemble a team of people with their own websites and do a couple of test cases. I think I have figured out a way to win over this.

Hey OP, it might not be google’s fault, it’s just that most likely people do not visit google for your niche, instead they might get better results from AI chatbot.

Google has lost a lot of traffic to that, you might want to look into it..

Could you share about your process ?

Do you have a team to create daily content on social medias?

Because I imagine it takes a lot of time.
