Bing/Microsoft Advertising: Does Target ROAS automatically adjust bids on OBSERVED audiences? In Search, Dynamic Search campaigns for example?

Posted by seohelper on December 9, 2020 at 9:16 pm

The title pretty much sums up the question, I’d like to know if automated bidding strategies in Bing/Microsoft Advertising will automatically change bids for observed audiences.

Should I be manually adjusting bids higher for observed audiences with high ROAS??

    Thanks!!!

I am certain in Google Ads your bid adjustments are ignored when using ROAS. There is one exception, that is when you adjust -100% against a device Type (Cell, Computer, Tablet). To the best of my knowledge that is the only bid modifier that is allowed when using tROAS.

    Hope this helps.

Not exactly your question but I suggest not using target ROAS on bing in most cases. I stick with enhanced CPC and prune the bad keywords.
If it worked on bing then great but usually doesn’t unless you have some massive amount of data or whatever

Google Ads does this and deactivates any bid adjustments you have for audiences on most conversion-based automated bidding methods.

MS Ads claims that all bid adjustments ‘inform’ automated bidding methods. Therefore you should set bid adjustments for audiences you want to bid up/down on.
