Best “lesser known” social media platform for organic growth?
Greetings!
Sharing content on social media is a big part of modern marketing and story telling, especially for charities. With that said, I wanted to see what alternatives to Instagram you might recommend for organic growth.
We’re a non-profit that shares mostly video-based content, maybe 2-3 minutes per video, give or take. But we are interested in a platform that will offer us exposure, the same way Reels, TikTok, and Shorts do…. only perhaps one that isn’t as flooded.
In your opinion, what is a good video-sharing platform (excluding the top three mentioned above) that allows for organic growth and influence development? Any suggestions would be welcome. -

I always wanted to make a startup for this. I even spoke with a big-name ex-marketer (i’m more of a prod/technical person). I think there’s a good addressable market and a pretty sensible way to go to market. If you’re interested, lmk. I’ll get to it eventually, but it might take me 5 years. I think shoppable / sharable content and intelligent social incentives paired with some good data science and data practices and it’s an easy win.

There was some tiktok-esque spinout called 8love or something, i can’t remember the name of it, but it doesn’t seem to be popular enough to find now

Hey there social media strategist here, when my clients have a very niche market and need to build a brand a little faster, we use an app called Clapper, it’s almost like tiktok but it’s not flooded with millions of videos, and the algorithm isn’t as punishing for newer accounts, it’s not flooded with bots like on instagram and you can easily reach 20-30K people in a week or two if you know what you’re doing….
