Best approach for a local chicken shop in the UK

Hey, so I have had a new client approach me and was wondering if anyone else has any experience with take away shops in the UK?

Obviously I’ll do some research but this client only sells over the phone, deliveroo, just eat and uber eats. Going to find out some more info like where the majority of their customers come from and do some keyword research too.

My guess is most of their customers come from these apps anyways so not sure if I should suggest for them to just pay to promote on these websites.

Here in Canada at least, I buy my chicken at the grocery store along with my other grocery needs. So it’s a matter of making me aware that there is a shop specialising in chicken. I doubt there’s much Google searches for it. I would therefore have display campaigns targeting the area he serves. This could be fairly large since he uses delivery services. I don’t use those services so I’m not familiar, you say you can advertise on their apps so it’s an option if it’s not too expensive, at least try it out.

I have never had a takeaway food client where Google Ads has been successful. Unless you are certain of an awesome lifetime customer value, I wouldn’t use search ads.
