Bad idea to change budget and tcpa on say day?

Posted by stupidbuthed on September 13, 2023 at 11:01 pm

I try not to make big changes with accounts more often than 2-3 times per month.

Can adjusting budget in my case 10% & tcpa by 7% on the same day cause issues going forward such as, budget not being fully spent or cpa target not being hit accurately?

    Thanks

Depends on your budget. I managed accounts of 30K/day and we could change tcpa every hour no problem… on a 1k/day, i would wait few days

Should be fine. I do that combo of changes together when a campaign is budget constrained. Boost daily spend limit and reduce tCPA a few dollars.

Document what you changed and when. Easier to look back and see what may have caused something to do well or poorly.

Limiting yourself to Bid changes 2-3 a month, especially when results are behind target is not going to be acceptable or excuseable to higher ups. Google or FB best practice is for when you’re just starting out, in the first few months in the industry. Then you test and learn and make your own rules.

Meta, from memory, said best practice is to make budget changes in 20% increments as their best practice. When your campaigns are burning through cash or struggling to launch, following that guide isn’t going to work out.
