Just thought I’d share my experience regarding [Ranked.ai](https://Ranked.ai). I wasn’t able to find any reviews about [ranked.ai](https://ranked.ai) so I thought I’d use myself as a guinea pig before signing clients up under their white label plan. I had an inital chat with the owner Harry who informed me that I would rank for “web design london” within 6 months on their middle tier “Plus” plan. It sounded like pure bullshit but, like I say, I used myself as a guinea pig in lieu of any reviews of their service. I was happy to give Ranked the benefit of the doubt to find out if it was a genuine service.

To cut a long story short it has been a waste of time. I’ve used the service for 4 months on their “Plus” plan which is $198 a month. In 4 months I haven’t received a single backlink. I repeat…. in 4 months not a single backlink. I receieved 2 articles a week every Monday, but nothing else. I wasn’t expecting a lot for $198 a month, but I did expect to at least get a couple of backlinks a month, even just one backlink a month… but I’ve got ZERO backlinks after 4 whole months. Essentially I paid $800 for 24 articles and no links.

Over the past few weeks I’ve repeatedly asked for information regarding what outreach work has been done and how many backlinks I should expect. Each time I’ve been promised a report in a couple of days. I’ve never received any reports informing me what outreach work is being done. I was told a couple of times that they were waiting for guest posts on blogs to be approved, but this was weeks ago now. During my last conversation with the owner Harry, I explained that I had mutiple clients that I wanted to sign up to his white label service, but I couldn’t charge a client and give them no information about the outreach work they were paying for. Harry said he understood this and what have a report with me in a couple of days showing what outreach work had been done. I received a report that just showed what traffic had visted my site. No information about backlinks or outreach work.

Today I’ve cancelled my subscription. In short, stay away. It is the exact waste of time that your gut is telling you.

Sorry if this sounds ignorant as I am new to SEO and I also understand you were giving them the benefit of the doubt, but why did you wait 4 months before applying any pressure?

$33 an article doesn’t sound bad though, I pay freelance writers more than that. AO is costly. I wouldn’t expect them to be actively getting you backlinks for that much.

$198 for a competitive keyword? I mean, what can you expect?

    You live and you learn.

I find it very annoying to see a comment telling the OP how it was a good deal. It isn’t and it’s too good to be true (which is why anything they give is a great deal in comparison). Not cool. I despise people who make money this way. Sorry man, but you kinda knew going in that something was off. And thank you for the review.

I remember they offered a free trial but without any of the features available. No thanks!

I’m not sure what you expected.

I work with a team of 12 people actively doing outreach and they barely can hit 30 links a month (2 per person). We have outsourced to another company paying $500/link and they are only getting around 20-25 a month themselves.

TBH – at $198 you shouldn’t be expecting much at all, especially if you’re getting content and other services from them. I’m not defending them, they do seem a bit shady, but I think your expectations were a little bit too high and the way you continue to refer to yourself as a “guinea pig” means you’re making an excuse for why you just blew $800 aka you’re salty.

The red flag should have been no reviews or “social proof” when they boast statistics like 2,000+ active clients. They have that many and not a single review? Sketchy. But the only person at fault here is you for not doing your due diligence. Don’t slander a business because you were trying to be cheap and didn’t get everything you wanted.

Just chiming in here. Used this service as well and it was trash.

CEO is a digital nomad galivanting across south east asia with a shit product outsourcing it all to VAs and crappy unmanaged remote talent.

I’m not bashing digital nomads, VAs or remote work (my company does all 3) but this company is a shining example of the dogshit you get when you make promises you can’t deliver.

    > $198 a month

I’m going to assume you don’t know anything about SEO. I wouldn’t do SEO for someone for less than $1,500 a month.

I don’t get why everyone is criticizing OP.

He said that he was offering himself up as a guinea pig to see if this service is truly a shit service, low and behold, it is a shit service.

Very tempted to contact a few of their claimed customers and see if they really have worked with this dog shit SEO company. I’d imagine the likes of Holiday Inn and Logitech burying this Harry in C&D’s for using their brand, if not.

That’s very cheap for what they’re providing. 8 articles for $198 is not a lot at all.

But they do promise high quality backlinks as well and they’ve clearly not provided that to the OP.

I don’t like how they’ve used the logo for the UK Government National Health Service on their front page. I find it very doubtful they would have employed their services. They certainly wouldn’t allow their logo to be used in this way.
