Average Meta CPMs in the US for supplements?

Posted by ironman1109 on September 9, 2023 at 4:57 am

We just launched a couple of ads for our new supplement brand in the US. We are running 2 conversion campaign only for now, targeting a niche audience (Women in the age group 30-55 who are into Yoga) with a couple of ad sets each and same creatives.

After spending \~$150, the results have been bad. We have gotten no conversions and CPMs are \~$24. The CTR is at 1.2% (Facebook feed, Insta feed and stories)

    Is this normal?

What should be the ad strategy? Should I run traffic/ATC campaigns?

I have been seeeing more of this issue—-a lot more. I noticed conversions deliver a high CPM and subsequently a ridiculous CPC. How much is the CPC and cost per landing view traffic. It is $5/$4, your only getting 30 to 35 total clicks which is no where near enough to enter the funnel. Look at your total landing page views, that is your best & most qualified traffic….I bet that is like $7+

Your targeting is too restrictive. CBO broad targetting is the way to go

Your targeting is just fine. Are you using a lead generation/conversion objective?

CPMs are always going to be higher than mid or top funnel objectives. But you’re going to get more conversion actions.

But I can help you figure out some alternate strategies if that’s not working.

Go broad. Only control geo and demos and don’t use audiences. Make sure you ad copy and ads are relevant and description and let the ad do the targeting.
