    Hi all,

I do various marketing roles for directdatasquad.com. It seems that the search visibility of the website has taken quite a beating since August 2022. The Helpful Content update is the only thing that I think coincides with the drop.

The website is [directdatasquad.com](https://directdatasquad.com) if anyone fancies checking it out. The web content is/has been keyword dense, but performed well. I’ve changed the content multiple times and seen very little success.

To what extent do you think Google has been punishing websites that it doesn’t deem helpful? And do you think that the Helpful Content update is what this could be? I’ve spoken to tonnes of SEOs but no one can pin point what’s actually wrong. I know the website’s quite old school, but there isn’t *huge* budget for an update.

Just on the face of it the EAT signals looks poor. Who wrote the article? (Admin) you need to link to a page with an author who has experience. Get quotes for the blogs from authoritative people in your niche and stop trying to sell stuff at the end of each blog post.

Also it looks like your using zero schema markup in your blogs or site.

Schema and adding in authors plus expert quotes / stop selling shit at the end of every post will cost you nothing and help.

There also doesn’t seem to be too much of a strategy for topical clusters? A post about plumber leads links to a post about life insurance hotkeys. Is there any research going into the posts and a strategy to link all the together ?
