Attribution tracking with the Jane App

Posted by misty-111 on August 1, 2023 at 3:07 pm

I have a side job on top of my main job where I run Google Ads for clients. Mostly smaller businesses that aren’t really agency tier yet.

Two are in the health/medical field which is outside of my regular territory (real estate). I’ve run into countless problems with attribution and conversion tracking with the Jane App.

I’ve synced it with Google Analytics, but even so, it won’t show hits to any Jane App pages, or even clicks into those pages from the main site.

Has anyone run into this as well?

Does the app block it for privacy reasons? That would be the first thing I’d check. Also, be careful with health sites. HIPAA applies here in the US and it is very particular about data. Users of a health app could all under HIPAA depending on the nature of the app.

Ok, so I just looked Jane up – it should not be passing information to something like G Ads or analytics. It is essentially the backend of a medical practice, including patient facing parts. My guess is that the app blocks this kind of activity so it is HIPAA compliant.
