Anyone Used the ‘Request Instagram Verification’ Directly from the App Feature?
Has anyone seen this feature on their business account? Has anyone used it?
Some sort of gov document (ID or tax stuff) is required. It says that submitting press links is optional, which I know is the main determining factor with the existing verification process.
It also doesn’t appear to be asking for any money. I’d like to give it a try but my client doesn’t have any press, and Im wondering if anyone has successfully used the tool to get verified without links.

Of course for the original verification, you don’t need to pay anything to Instagram
However, you need press work (articles) for it. Or if the person is an artist, then show the LIVE concert video. TV footage is also considered legit btw, however, it depends upon the context as well
So, if your client doesn’t have any articles, then no, you can’t get the badge
However, the new Meta Verified let you get the badge for 11.99$. So, if they just want a badge, then go for that one
But, yeah, it’s available for limited countries only. And even if you are from those countries, it depends upon Instagram. It’s like an invitation-based program. So, you need to wait until it shows up
Avoid people who claim that they will get you a badge regardless of your country. Mostly are scammers only
Wait for Instagram to send the invitation to you
However, if you still wanna get some articles, as if your client wanna have some name on Google, then articles are a must
