  • Am I wasting time trying to rank a new website on Google using semrush?

Posted by RubApprehensive4087 on May 5, 2024 at 8:40 am

I've recently rebranded my business and published a new website. My previous site ranked in the first page consistently for my main key word so I was pretty confident I'd manage to rank my new website too. I've neglected my previous website to focus on this one.

I've subscribed to Semrush to give me a bit of a head start. Reading countless threads about Google's recent changes has really put a lot of doubt in my mind. Is it worth the trouble using semrush for my new site to rank or should I not bother?

    Appreciate your responses 😊

Did you close down the old website and redirect to the new one ?

Is this a completely different site ? Or same content just under new design and logo ?

You should have just updated the current site with new design/content instead of starting a new site.

Using a new domain makes no sense, it could take years to match the old domain. Doing a redirect will not transfer all of the domain value. Having two sites with similar content can cause the new site to have duplicate content issues as well.

Is there a reason why you created a new site on a new domain?

Google update each day so SEO not like 1 year or 2 years ago or so more, if you don’t good in SEO so hard to ranking higher, each page 1 now usually do good in SEO
