  • AI content in blogs?

I’ve been learning SEO for a few weeks and all the while I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to monetize this skill. After some time on this sub I found a few comments about people who run blogs with ads/affiliate links that used very slightly modified AI content. I’m here asking if that’s a viable strategy, does google not penalize for AI content, does the content even turn out. Furthermore, if this works (like the posts I’ve seen have suggested) why doesn’t everyone with SEO experience do this?

Don’t let anyone fool you. AI has watermarks, and search engines are getting *better* at discovering them. I have a burn site that ranks extremely well, and is often the focus of changes when we want to “test the waters” on a few *grey-area* things.

    – I can safely tell you pure AI content will get stuck in “**crawled but not indexed**” for the life of the content.
    – I can also tell you *slightly* modified AI content will get indexed for almost 4-6 months, then fall to “**crawled but not indexed**.”
    – I can also tell you AI content, in general, doesn’t read well and won’t help user-experience.

Use AI to give you guidelines and write the content yourself. It will give you *plenty* of ideas.

So Google has stated they aren’t going to fault people for using AI and I believe it will be impossible to definitively find out if AI is being used with the right prompt modification. I use AI to augment my content. I’ll write something like “iM FaRkn Tairded n I lyke potatoe Chaps”, and the AI will be like “I endeavor to enjoy the most savory flavor of my favorite potato chips from time to time”. I think google prefers the second rendition.
