Agencies/services/etc. for marketing a new social media platform
I’m working on a custom social media website for polling and demographic data analysis. I won’t link it here since the subreddit rules explicitly prohibit self-promotion and that’s not my intention with this thread, but I wanted to ask a general question regarding the marketing of it.
The platform is meant to appeal to both consumers and businesses/advertisers. Basically, users post polls about a variety of topics, and they can see how people voted along gender/racial/political/age/etc. lines. My intended business model is to get sponsored polls and maybe sell user data to data-brokers once the website has enough traffic.
Based on this premise, are there any agencies or services that I should contact that can either help promote and/or find clientele? My budget is flexible, potentially up to a couple thousand dollars in the short term. Also, are any particular social media sites more ideal than others for promoting a site that revolves around polling? I already run a couple ads on Reddit and Meta, but I’ve never used Snapchat or TikTok and wouldn’t really know what to expect there.
