    Hi,

remember the golden days of Usenet? Loved it – great exchange of info (for the tech savvy daring enough to dive into the depths of Usenet), eventually replaced by more accessible forums and discussion platforms.

Right now, I need to start a new platform for discussion for my professional circle. So many options available – but none of them ideal. WhatsApp and Telegram – which one to chose, then – not so easy typing longer content on your mobile (even though web interface is available, many don’t use it).

Forum on our own website: Would be ideal, but people will usually only go there if they’re looking for something specific – much less interaction to be expected. Facebook Group, classical e-mail list, etc. – all have their strengths and weaknesses.

Here’s my question: Are there any practical and accessible options for creating a “forum style” platform that works across different platforms, kind of bringing them together? In an ideal setting, that would be our own websites forum as main platform, auto-sharing content across a mailing list, Facebook group, WhatsApp and Telegram groups, … in both directions. This would be lovely and combine most of the strengths of various platforms, leaving out most of their weaknesses. Super accessible, great for lively and professional discussions.

I’ve looked at various automation tools such as Zapier, spent some time googling further options, but couldn’t find anything that even remotely resembled what I am looking for.

If you know anything and have some hints for me about the right directions – much, much appreciated!
