  • Which is better? Writing captions and editing it on AI or just write it as is and post?

So I keep reading on LinkedIn how people knows you are using AI with your captions or even on comments and not engage with you, but I am really not confident with my grammar since English is just my 3rd language. So, is this true?

Does using AI to write anything on social media makes it less likely to get engagement?

honestly english being your 3rd language is more of an edge than you think. captions that feel a bit raw read as human, captions that feel polished read as AI

i’d just write it in your voice and only use AI when something is genuinely unclear. don’t let it “improve” the way you sound, that’s where engagement actually drops

The LinkedIn crowd is mostly right about spotting AI. If you let a tool write the whole caption, it usually ends up with that overly polished, corporate tone that people tend to scroll past. For someone where English is a third language, using AI as a grammar checker is fine, but you should avoid having it generate the actual thoughts. It is better to have a few small grammar mistakes and a genuine voice than a perfect caption that feels hollow. People engage with the person behind the screen, and showing a bit of your natural writing style usually builds more trust than a robotic, flawless paragraph. Just write it yourself and use a basic spellchecker to keep the flow authentic.

Ask ChatGPT to rewrite your “raw opinion” into US spoken language 🙂
