  What’s your tenant screening process?

  Hi all,

  I’ve had mixed experiences with tenants lately—some great, some not so much—and I’m realizing how important proper screening is.

  Right now, I’m checking credit scores and employment, but I feel like I might be missing something. What steps do you all take to make sure tenants are reliable?

  Do you rely on background checks, references, or rental history more? Also, is it worth outsourcing this to professionals? I’ve read that the top property management companies in El Paso TX have more advanced screening systems, but I’m wondering if it’s worth the cost.
