Currently, imo, GEO = more optimised SEO ( for example, more high-quality content).

I didn’t know we are allowed to make up our own names.
I specialize in Real Estate SEO, focusing on AI citation.
So maybe that is REO? AICEO?

GEO is still SEO to me, just with more focus on making content easy for AI to pull from. Same basics still matter: useful content, clear structure, and trust.

SEO helps you rank on search engines. GEO helps your content get cited and surfaced in AI-generated answers. Same foundation, different discovery layer.

bogus term peddled by some, and refuted by others. I’m on the fence when it comes to calling it that. I believe it’s just a marketing ploy. Why not call it SEO still? Cuz the ones doing it are making bank on it
